Sailing Lesson

An opportunity to learn and enhance sailing skills  at the same time  spend fun a day sailing. Children’s Sailing lessons are available for Members and Non members. (Conditions apply).

 

Ages Activity

6 plus to 11 Optibat and optimists at the same time as
11 plus learn and Sail [Laser, Catamaran, Beneteau 7.5.]

The basis which boat a child should sail is predominantly down to their weight and the instructor’s advice. Minimum requirements:

  • Members / Non Members (Condition Apply)

  • Age 6+

  • Children should be water confident at the same time as wearing a buoyancy aid.

Lessons Offered

Stage 1 Basic sailing
(Paddling, Helming, Reaching, Tacking and Parts of the Boat)

Stage 2 Intermediate
(Sailing upwind, Speed control, Parts of the sail, Rules of the road)

Stage 3 Advanced
(Rig independently, Sail theory, Gibing and Man overboard recovery)
